I'm
going to have a moment here and say that if you believe in a god that
would send a maniac to kill 28 people because he doesn't get his ego
stroked by being mentioned in public schools, then you need a new god.
The one you worship is an evil, underhanded, entirely imaginary, scary,
insecure deity that has absolutely nothing to do with my Jesus.
Think, really think, about what kind of a god you believe in if this
even crossed your ever lovin' minds and whether you want to be anywhere
near that kind of god. Check yourself before your wreck yourself,
people.
What happened Friday happened because that man did
not receive the mental health care he needed and because of our culture
of violence. He did it more efficiently because we allowed him to have
the tools he needed to do that much damage in such a short amount of
time. We DO need to repent, as a nation, of this evil and do something
to fix it, but propagating bad theology and worse politics is not the
way to do it. It's ignoring the problem that got us here in the first
place. Here ends my rant.
